James I truly love this work. I was intrigued and captivated. It gave me impressions of the human condition in 8 stories. My favorite pieces were C. Nimbus #42F and Red Tail. It is a moving album. Favorite track: #42 F.

andrewbenway It doesn't grow on you as much as it seeps through you like some otherworldly ink seeking out a new host, darkly kaleidoscopic and introspective tTCoO's s/t vibrates and swells with a crystalline movement subtly carving its way through the alien undergrowth sculpting the emergent world it resides within as both the apex fauna of its ecosystem and the ecosystem itself. Favorite track: Don't Pray for Rain.

about

Album Review

Can music help you see something for the first time? Do sounds contain hidden visuals that only appear after the surrender of your ears? These and many more questions I found myself asking after hearing The Transient Creep of Olivine.

The album somehow leaves you in a world of visual projections and without your complete knowing a movie begins to play across your mind's eye. Rarely returning to the same sound twice each song guides you into the vastness of the sub-conscious. Like the best cinematography, you feel connected and emotionally inspired.

Throughout the eight-song album, I traveled through various parts of the world. The changing rhythms and electronic sounds consistently provide new stimulating invitations to the mind. Unable to hold tight to any particular song but completely engaged I listened to the album five times in a row before decompressing back into my current surroundings.

Neither hot or cold or black or white the album takes you to both ends of the spectrum at times viewing everything from a macro perspective as if I dwarfed the universe and stood larger than it all. And then without warning, I am inside the workings of a cellular structure of a micro-organism.

Don't even think about listening to one song from the album. It would be like eating one potato chip or just tasting the sauce. Once you push play the enjoyment and adventure takes all eight songs to fulfill. Unlike most experimental music the songs are short and range between two and three minutes but don't let the length fool you. These songs contain the potential to move deep emotions and imagery.

What makes me so excited about the album is the genius of taking a listener so far in such a short period. I rarely hear an album that expands creatively quickly and effortlessly, all without being pretentious or challenging on the ear. These songs guided me on a personal story, one capable of connecting my subconscious to the universal.

In short, I feel much better about myself and the world after listening to the album.
